FY 12 Individual Artists Grant: Application Available

Workshops This Week

HAA is excited to announce the next round of Individual Artist Grant awards that will provide funding and support for the creation of new works. Artists working within all artistic disciplines are encouraged to apply. Individual Artist Grant Application Workshops will be held at the Houston Arts Alliance on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 12pm and Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 9am.

FY 12 Touring and Neighborhood Arts Program Grant:

Application Available

The TNAP guidelines and application is now posted to our website. Please note that due to severe reduction in funding for this program, applications will only be accepted from organizations who do not receive other HAA grant funding in FY 12. High priority will be given to organizations outside of Houston city limits.

Hunting Art Prize

This is a state-wide competition open to Texas based established artists, talented newcomers and promising amateurs. The $50,000 award is the most generous annual art prize given in North America for painting and drawing. The competition is open to Texas-based artists who are 18 years of age (as of August 1, 2011) or older.

Texas Commission on the Arts – Young Masters Program

This program awards grants to talented young artists to further their studies in their chosen field. This grant is not a college scholarship. Only 8th to 11th grade students who are legal residence of Texas are eligible.

Civic Art & Design Artist Registry

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Spacetaker’s Artist Registry. Artists interested in being involved with future Civic Art & Design projects are invited to create a free profile. The Civic Art & Design team will use Spacetaker’s Artist Registry as a means for reviewing qualifications when selecting artists to be considered for future public art projects.
