Independent Film in Texas!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: THE TERRITORY
SWAMP is now seeking submissions for the 31st season (2006-2007) of The Territory, the longest running public television showcase of independent film/video in the country. The series is broadcast on PBS stations in Texas.

If you have a short film (27 minutes or less, including credits) available for non-exclusive broadcast, please send a Submission Form and VHS (NTSC) or DVD copy of work with your bio and synopsis to:

Submissions are due by June 30th of each year to be considered for the current season. Label your submission with the title and length of your film. Please include your name, address, email, and phone numbers on the DVD or tape. Due to the volume of submissions, we are NOT able to return DVDs and tapes.

If your work is selected, we will require a Beta SP or digital master for broadcast as well as production stills, if available.

If you have a distributor, please give us the company name, contact name and phone or email address.

Recent works, 27 minutes or less, of all genre, are accepted. Artists will be paid $35/minute for non-exclusive Texas broadcast.

The Territory is funded jointly by the Texas Commission on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cultural Arts Council of Houston and Harris County.
