The two-day masterclass (October 10th and 11th, 1-5 p.m. both days) will reveal the secrets of creating dramatic and comedic tension on beat, scene, sequence and screenplay level. Master story tension and get the roadmap for perfect structure for every story, in any genre – comedy, thriller or drama. The method is easily understandable and universally applicable, and the lecture is complemented by plenty of examples and corresponding film segments.
Writer/Director-Producer Chris Soth has authored over 40 screenplays and is a frequent speaker on the topics of story structure and independent filmmaking, teaching screenwriters around the world how to write great screenplays. Chris is the writer of “Firestorm”, released by 20th Century Fox, and the independent hit “Outrage: Born in Terror”. He has taught at USC and UCLA and currently guides screenwriters from concept to FADE OUT using the “Mini-Movie Method”, one of the main texts on Frank Daniel’s Sequence Method next to Paul Gulino’s “Screenwriting: The Sequence Approach – The Hidden Structure of Successful Screenplays” and David Howard’s “How to Build a Great Screenplay”.
