About The Event
Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP) will present a Q&A Including Graphic Novelist MariNaomi, the subject of a recent ban at Katy ISD, part of a concerted effort by radical right wing elements to ban literature and learning guides centered on human sexuality and issues of race.
A special screening of THE NEVER LIST, a teen drama co-staring MariNaomi as herself and written and directed by Houstonian Michelle Mower, will precede a panel discussion and Q&A led by openly queer author and Houstonian Addie Tsai and featuring attorney Betsey Gomez of The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Reserve your seat by purchasing a $5 food and beverage voucher, or pick up your free ticket at the box office.
